DEBT collectors will turn into charity fundraisers for Wakefield Hospice.
Largo, a debt recovery company, is based at Silkwood Park, will host its first charity ball on Friday, November 27.
The event will raise funds for Wakefield Hospice and Barnsley Sea Cadets. Helen Knowles, director of fundraising at Wakefield Hospice, said: “We are so pleased that Largo has chosen to support Wakefield Hospice. This is a great bonus for us as sadly we had to cancel our own gala night this year because of the current economic climate and lack of corporate sponsorship and we feel privileged that Largo has offered their support, especially when times are challenging.”
Largo has recently been shortlisted in the Credit Today 2009 Debt Collection Awards for Commercial Debt Collection Agency of 2009 and is delighted to be contributing in some small way to both charities for the excellent work they do.
Rachael Withers, operations director at Largo, said: “This is the first time we’ve done something like this, and as a growing business we have always tried to be charitable. Wakefield Hospice is close to our hearts and we’re happy to be able to give something back.”
A limited number of tickets are priced at £55 each. For more details contact Largo on 01924 886555.
